rain
since sunday it has been gloomy and raining off and on. when it rains though, boy it does poor. ive been lucky enough not to have been caught in any of these downpours. since ive been here i have been told that muncie is a very depressing place when it comes to bad weather. in the winter time the sun doesn't show for weeks, with gray skies being drug across the campus. the skies have also been this way for the rain too. yes its depressing when bad weather comes, but it usually quickly leaves. does it seem to anyone else that it just seems to linger in muncie?

Yes I've been here for a year so far and the rain and snow makes the campus feel like its full of lost souls. It's quite melancholy. But it all about how your outlook is...you can always take a negative and turn it into a positive
ReplyDeleteIt does seem to last forever in muncie. But the other day I got caught out in it. I had to run pretty much across campus barefoot cause I couldnt move fast enough with my sandels on. I about lost a lung by the time i got back and i had to take off my shirt and wring it out before i could go in because it was soaked.
ReplyDeleteRain is great stuff but, if you don't like the gloom remember you can move to Florida after you graduate. "You don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes it'll change" might not apply to this place. 4 years it wont matter.

ReplyDeleteSadly I heard that they compare the rain here to the Muncie Monsoon:( I miss the whether back at home even though, I thought that I would never say that! I also think that bad whether depresses me and yes it has been lingering! I heard that it's supposed to be warm next week...but I'll believe that when I see it! Have a great week Tony!
